Energisers

We are proud to introduce our range of Pel and Electropower energisers.

Using a commonsense approach, Pel have spent 40 years making electric fencing easier and more efficient. They have cerved a reputation for clever thinking and trusted products.

Kiwi Kit is pleased to supply a full range of high quality, battery and solar energisers for temporary and portable systems where no mains is available. Also, dual power mains/battery energisers and high power mains energisers for more permanent systems.

All are tied and tested in New Zealand.

For more information on which energiser you require check out our handy Technical Information guide.

We recommend you choose an energizer with more than enough power for your requirements. Once our customers experience the flexibility and versitility of electric fencing they tend to extend systems and require more power on the line.

CHOOSING AN ENERGISER:

  • One Output Joule will drive volts along 6 miles/10 kms of wire in perfect conditions.
  • Decide on the area and type of land to be fenced.
  • The type of stock to be controlled.
  • Choose a fencer larger than required to allow for fence additions.

ERECTING YOUR ENERGISER:

  • Place fencer unit in a cool dry well ventilated shed. (Mains Units).
  • Erect fencer unit out of reach of children and animals.
  • Connect underground/lead-out wire from fence terminal to fence wire.
  • Connect underground/lead-out wire from earth terminal to first earth rod.

EARTHING YOUR ENERGISER:

Choose an earth site that is moist and at least 33 ft. (10 metres) away from:

  • Any earth stake for another electrical system.
  • Any telephone earth stake.
  • Any water pipes including disused water pipes.
  • Any building using structural steel or reinforcing metal in the ground.

NB. NEVER CHOOSE AN EARTH SITE NEAR A DAIRY OR PARLOUR.
