Our aim:
Kim Petty dairy farms in North Pembrokeshire on a spring, block calving, grass-based system with 380 cows. Debbie was a New Zealander and, on their visits to her family, sourced products to use on the farm and subsequently to sell through KiwiKit. (Debbie Petty, Director KiwiKit Ltd., Kim’s wife, died November 27th 2011. The family and KiwiKit team would like to acknowledge Debbie’s support and contribution to the company).
David & Jackie Brundrett live in South Shropshire. Jackie is Kim’s sister. David and Jackie retired from livestock farming in 1995. They had run an intensive beef calf rearing unit, sheep and contract-reared dairy heifers, maximising the use of forage. David has a long association with agricultural merchanting as an agent for several companies over a number of years. Jackie is also a farm secretary.
We are a family business operating across the UK. The company was developed in 2004 by Kim and Debbie Petty who saw the need to bring some of the innovative ideas and products from Debbie’s home country of New Zealand to provide practical solutions for the agricultural, equine and leisure industries in the UK .
The business, initially begun to supply friends and neighbours, has developed into a national supplier of a wide range of agricultural and equine waterproof clothing from Oringi & Kiwikit, hose nozzles, electric fencing, dairy hygiene and so much more. Because of the continuing growth of the company, Kim’s sister Jackie and her husband David came on board in 2005.
What makes us different
We have all either come from farming families or worked on farms and love living and working in the countryside. Kim and Debbie are still actively farming. This gives us a unique place from which to identify what works, and what doesn’t, for farmers and country dwellers.
We are always looking for innovative ideas and products from New Zealand and elsewhere to add to our range and truly welcome suggestions and/or ideas from our customers for new products they may have seen or heard of.
