Shoof Power Tail Trimmer

An annoying job in the parlour made easy! The Shoof Power Tail Trimmer is purpose designed and built specifically for the horrible job of trimming cows tails. Invented in New Zealand, this trimmer is kind to cows and dairy farmer, quick in use, trimming the hair in seconds.

The cylindrical cutting operation is unique, second to none in it’s ability to cut a cow’s tail-hair without damage to operator or cow. The cutting action is smooth and fast, taking only 3 or 4 seconds to run up the tail. Even dirty dag-ends feed smoothly over the trimmer. Pre-cutting the tail’s switch is not necessary. Once attached to the operator’s drill the cow’s tail is fed into the trimming device and while holding the tail at the tip, the trimmer is run upwards as high as required.

Proven through extensive trials in New Zealand over the past 12 months, the Shoof Power Tail Trimmer is powered by any standard power drill and is especially suited to the cordless drill. (Not supplied with trimmer)

·         Simple chuck attachment for any quality power drill of at least 14 volts, and preferably two speeds. *

·         Gear oil is introduced at the start of use, and after each 50-100 tails, through an external lubrication point.
