Walkease™ Hoof Blocks are designed for an early-intervention treatment of lameness in cattle. The hoof claw is cleaned and rasped smooth before a small amount of the special pre-mixed glue is applied and the block then fitted and held for 15 to 25 seconds after which the foot is quickly lowered to the ground and the full weight of the animal applied to allow tight bonding of the block onto the hoof. (see note below)

· Comfortable for the cow to walk on.

Shoof says: One of the essential requirements for successful use of Walkease is that the cow’s full weight is put on the hoof within one minute of application. This makes use of Walkease unsuitable for ‘tilt-table’ crushes where it may take several minutes for the cow to be stood on her feet.
Kiwikit™ We have tried these on our own farm and found them a useful additional product in the treatment of lameness in cows and heifers. They have proved quick and easy to use and we have had instances of the blocks lasting longer than suggested. They are also proving a success with our customers.
